project: Entsperrte Freiheit
What is it?
project: Entsperrte Freiheit is a private portable hotspot service designed as an experimental initiative inside the [REDACTED] school environment. The concept is to provide managed connectivity for students during school hours only, with the goal of exploring freedom, control, and responsibility in a digital learning context and to bypass the firewall.
Why does it exist?
The project was created to test whether structured access to digital tools can enhance creativity, improve research opportunities, and promote responsible online behaviour. By limiting usage to school time and applying strict oversight, the program examines how freedom can coexist with accountability. Additionally, some resources online are blocked by zscaler, and so we made this to bypass and access those resources in which are useful. As the Government is becoming more harsher towards VPN's, we have started this to combat that.
Key Features
• Portable Unit in specific locations
• Unlimited Access to blocked sites
• Operates only within school premises and school days.
• Focused on learning resources, collaboration, and safe experimentation.
• Secure connection and average speeds.
• Chances of being caught are extremley low
• Status: being experimented — not rolled out.
Limitations
• Not a replacement for home internet.
• Data speed is limited to conserve data (we have limited data of 500GB)
• We are NOT responsable for others getting caught.
• Is limited to some areas in the school and may move.
• Project is temporary and for educational purposes only.
Future Goals
If successful, this project may expand into better connectivity for others:
— Make everyone become successfull
— Use a good portable Modem
— Improve range and accessability by having multiple service points
— Research into balancing freedom and boundaries in education.
